A rural area east of Argonia was evacuated Wednesday night because of an anhydrous ammonia leak.

No details were released but the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office was telling residents to avoid an area between Morris and Milan Road from U.S. Highway 160 north to 40th Avenue.

The leak was repaired and the evacuation order was lifted around 11 p.m.  No injuries were reported.
