Police have two men in custody for a fatal shooting that happened early Wednesday in south Wichita.
Officers were called to the area of MacArthur and Hydraulic around 2 a.m. They found 34-year-old Daniel McPherson of Wichita with a gunshot wound to his head, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police went to the location after being notified by police in Blackwell, Oklahoma of a shooting incident. Two people went to the Blackwell hospital for treatment and gave police information on the shooting. Wichita investigators then went to Blackwell to get more information, and it’s believed that the shooting took place in Wichita. Information will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for the filing of charges.
