Police have identified the victim of a car-pedestrian incident that happened in South Wichita.
On Saturday, September 30th around 2:10 a.m., police were called to the 4500 block of South Broadway, and they found 49-year-old Paul Piepmeier of Wichita with critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police said Piepmeier was hit by a dark-colored SUV that was traveling south on Broadway. No arrests have been made.
This was the 26th fatality collision in Wichita for the year, and the 26th traffic death.
