A man was fatally shot by a Topeka police officer during a struggle Thursday morning.
The officer was reportedly investigating a stolen car and gave the person inside several commands, which were ignored. The man in the car got out, and it turned out he had a handgun. The man and officer got into a struggle and the man fired one shot, which did not hit the officer. The officer fired several times and hit the man, who passed away at the scene.
Officials identify 28-year-old Dylan Walstrom as the man who died.
The KBI is investigating the shooting, and no more details are being released for now.
